Crowns
What are they?
Crowns are tooth shaped caps that cover damaged teeth to reproduce a realistic look. They can be resin, porcelain, metal or a porcelain/metal mixture.
What is the procedure?
The damaged tooth is ground down to produce a pen. Impressions are taken which the crown will be designed to fit A temporary crown will be fotted for a couple of weeks while the proper one is made. The real crown is then cemented on for the final look.
How long do they last?
It depends a bit on the location but typically 5-15 years.
